Ming Chi University of Technology's Department of Materials Engineering is recruiting for a full-time or project faculty position.
Educational Background and Specialization: The candidate should primarily have a degree in materials science, with expertise in fields such as thin films, materials simulation, optoelectronics, energy, or biomedical areas. The candidate must be willing to teach courses assigned by the department (including EMI courses).
Position Level: Assistant professor (full-time or project) or above.
Start Date: February 1, 2026.

Those who hold a doctoral degree and meet the above qualifications and are interested in teaching in this department are encouraged to send the following documents by the application deadline. Curriculum vitae (including areas of expertise and publication list).
A copy of the graduation certificate (for graduates from foreign universities who have not obtained teaching qualifications in this country, a verification of foreign educational credentials and transcripts completed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' overseas offices is required), or a legitimate proof of expected graduation by the end of January 2026.
Transcripts from undergraduate and graduate studies.
Three recommendation letters (to be provided upon notification for an interview).
A copy of the graduation thesis cover and abstract.
Copies of other publications.
Teaching plan: detailing teaching experience and potential courses to be offered in the future.
Research plan: research or achievements from the past five years and future research directions.
Completed performance evaluation forms, as attached (Ming Chi University of Technology Department of Materials Engineering new faculty points calculation form).
According to the Ministry of Education regulations, candidates must have at least one year of practical work experience in the industry (including postdoctoral research), which can be fulfilled before employment.
Note: Candidates with teaching or industry experience will be given priority consideration.
